Deeniat By Syed Abu'l Ala Maududi

This book was first published in 1937. It was found so useful for understanding Islam that it soon gained general popularity in the Indian subcontinent. Due to its comprehensiveness, brevity and common sense, it has become popular even among the general educated people and has been made a co-curriculum in many schools and colleges.

Apart from Urdu language, it has been translated into many other languages of the world and more are being done. The languages in which it has been translated till now. Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Indonesian, Swahili, Hausa, English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Thai, Sinhalese, Bangla, Sindhi, Pashto, Gujarati, Hindi, Tamil, Mala Bari, Danish, Portuguese.

It has been loved not only by Muslims but also by non-Muslims and many non-Muslims have had the honor of accepting Islam by studying it. In some Muslim countries, its translation is also taught as a curriculum in madrasahs.
